This website is operated by MURU & CO. Throughout the site, the terms “MURU,” “MURU & CO.,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to MURU & CO.

MURU & CO. is an independent platform for art, design, editions, and special projects. We work with artists and designers to commission, produce, present, and make available limited editions, artworks, objects, collaborations, and other creative projects.

By visiting our website, accessing its content, signing up for communications, or purchasing something from us, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service, together with any additional policies or terms referenced on the website.

Please read these Terms carefully before using the website or making a purchase.

  1. ONLINE STORE TERMS

By using this website, you confirm that you are legally capable of entering into a binding agreement under the laws applicable to you.

You may not use our website, products, artworks, images, or services for any unlawful or unauthorized purpose.

You must not transmit viruses, malicious code, or otherwise attempt to interfere with the security, functionality, or operation of the website.

  1. ARTWORKS, EDITIONS AND OBJECTS

MURU & CO. presents works produced independently or in collaboration with artists and designers.

Details including dimensions, materials, techniques, edition sizes, signatures, numbering, and other specifications will be provided on the relevant project or product page where applicable.

Limited editions are produced according to the edition information stated at the time of release.

Due to the nature of handmade, artisanal, and artist-led production processes, individual works may contain subtle variations in colour, texture, printing, material, or finish. Such variations may be inherent to the work and are not necessarily considered defects.

Colours and details displayed digitally may vary slightly depending on screens, devices, photography, and lighting conditions.

  1. ORDERS AND AVAILABILITY

All orders are subject to availability and acceptance.

Placing an item in your shopping cart does not guarantee or reserve its availability.

An order is generally considered confirmed once payment has been successfully processed and an order confirmation has been issued.

Because certain works are released in limited quantities, items may sell out quickly.

In the rare event that an item becomes unavailable due to an inventory discrepancy, simultaneous purchase, technical issue, or other unforeseen circumstance, MURU & CO. may cancel the affected order and issue a refund.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel orders in cases involving suspected fraud, payment issues, pricing errors, inventory errors, misuse of the website, or other exceptional circumstances.

  1. PRICING AND PAYMENT

Prices are displayed in the currency indicated on the website.

Prices may change without notice. Changes will not normally affect orders that have already been confirmed, except in cases of obvious pricing or technical errors.

The purchaser is responsible for any applicable taxes, customs duties, import charges, bank fees, currency conversion fees, or other charges that may apply to their transaction or delivery unless explicitly stated otherwise.

Payments are processed through Shopify and/or third-party payment providers. MURU & CO. does not directly store complete payment card information where payment processing is handled by these providers.

  1. LIMITED EDITIONS AND AUTHENTICITY

Where a work is described as a limited edition, the edition size will be stated on the relevant project or product page.

Works may be signed, numbered, accompanied by documentation, or otherwise authenticated according to the specifications of the individual project.

Artist's proofs, printer's proofs, prototypes, samples, or other works outside the numbered edition may exist where appropriate to the artistic or production process.

MURU & CO. will not knowingly reproduce a limited edition beyond its stated edition size, excluding any separately designated proofs or examples forming part of the disclosed edition structure.

  1. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

Purchasing an artwork, edition, object, or other work from MURU & CO. transfers ownership of the physical item only.

Copyright and all other intellectual property rights in the artwork, image, design, text, photograph, or creative work remain with the respective artist, designer, creator, MURU & CO., or applicable rights holder unless explicitly agreed otherwise in writing.

Purchasing a work does not grant the purchaser the right to reproduce, commercially exploit, distribute, publish, modify, create derivative works from, or otherwise use the underlying intellectual property without appropriate authorization.

Images and content appearing on the MURU & CO. website and associated communications may not be reproduced or commercially used without permission from the relevant rights holder.

  1. SHIPPING AND DELIVERY

Shipping availability, costs, and estimated delivery times may vary according to the project, product, destination, size, weight, and delivery requirements.

International orders may be subject to customs duties, import taxes, VAT, brokerage fees, or other charges imposed by the destination country. Unless otherwise stated, these charges are the responsibility of the recipient.

Delivery estimates are provided as guidance and are not guaranteed.

MURU & CO. is not responsible for delays caused by customs authorities, courier services, incorrect delivery information, local regulations, weather events, or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.

  1. RETURNS, CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS

Due to the limited, collectible, made-to-order, and project-specific nature of many works offered by MURU & CO., returns and refunds are considered on a case-by-case basis.

Signed and numbered limited editions, unique artworks, personalized works, commissioned works, and made-to-order items may be considered final sale once production or fulfilment has begun, unless otherwise required by applicable law.

If an item arrives damaged or an incorrect item is received, the purchaser should contact MURU & CO. promptly and provide relevant details and photographs.
